International Festival is This Saturday!

Travel Around The World in Less Than A Day at This Family Friendly Festival!

Visit more than 40 countries in three hours at the 5th Annual Village Family Foundation International Festival at The Village Early Learning Center in Brandon. Experience international food, crafts, and live cultural entertainment. Performers this year include Tampa Taiko Drummers, Team K Martial Arts, Bhangra Dancing by Aman Dhillon, and The Village Adventure Club!

Admission and parking are free! The first 200 children in attendance will be given a passport that will enable them to travel from country to country inside and outside of the school and to view artifacts from the countries represented by Village students and families. A variety of free crafts and activities will be offered for children to make and take home at no cost. The Village Family Foundation will also provide a free book for each of the first 100 families in attendance.

Each year, families flock to the on-site food trucks for international flavors. This year, Krepelicious and Mmm BAP Korean Cuisine will be offering delicious dishes, and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will serve up their uniquely scrumptious ice cream combinations.

The Village Family Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy in the Brandon community, sponsors this event every year in an effort to further cultural awareness, understanding, dialogue, and cooperation. Sponsors of the 2016 festival also include TrueBlue Specialized Workforce Solutions and Mosaic Company.

The International Festival will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at The Village Early Learning Center, 3741 Canoga Park Drive in Brandon. The Village Early Learning Center invites anyinternational community members, organizations, or groups that wish to participate. Free parking will be available throughout the event.
